Marshall grew up in East Texas where he attended the University of Texas. After graduating, he moved to Los Angeles where he resides and works as a freelance DP.

He has shot work for the United Nations, Vice, Pivot TV, TakePart, Participant Media, Awesomeness TV, Nuvo TV, Tourgigs, KCRW, and filmed personalities as varied as Stan Lee, Werner Herzog, Alice Waters, Jack McGee, and musical acts like Little Dragon, Bishop Nehru, Peach Kelli Pop, Trail of Dead, Matt and Kim, Cut Copy, Umphrey’s McGee, STS9, and Los Craters. 

His most recent projects include the webseries Talents, featuring an ensemble cast and shot on rare 1960s lenses; Future Nights, an anamorphic industrial sci-fi short; and a Chance for Change PSA interviewing former inmates about fair sentencing for youth, which was nominated at the PromaxBDA Awards for Best PSA.

He owns a C300 Mk2 package.
